For a Point warrant, pick up the phone before anything else. Point Municipal Court handles city citations, and its Court Clerk can tell you whether a case is open and what plea or appearance options remain. Point City Hall posts the court's contact details along with its own office hours. Have your citation number and its date close at hand when you call. The city publishes no warrant search page and no active warrant roster, so the clerk is the only reliable source here. One more thing: the court's courtesy form carries a plain warning about unpaid balances and course deadlines. A quick call to the clerk settles whether a warrant issued, and whether a later payment or filed form changed the court record.

Point Warrant Checks Start With the Courtesy Plea Sheet

Point does not publish a public warrant search. Its Courtesy Plea Sheet is a case-resolution form, not a name-search tool. The document shows the citation number and plea fields, and the court page lists Clerk Tasha Wilk with a direct phone and email contact.

Call the clerk before emailing or paying. Ask whether the form remains eligible after a missed date, whether an appearance is required, and whether a warrant has already issued. Do not rely on a payment link to answer those questions.

Read the official Point Courtesy Plea Sheet for the form's current field structure.

Point Warrant Checks

Call Point Municipal Court Clerk Tasha Wilk at 903-598-3296 extension 3 or email courtclerk@cityofpoint.org. Give the citation number and ask whether the case is open, whether a warrant issued, whether a courtesy form is still accepted, and whether a hearing is needed.

  1. Find the Point citation number and court date on the ticket or notice.
  2. Call or email the Court Clerk and ask for current case and warrant status.
  3. Ask whether the Courtesy Plea Sheet is still eligible and what documents the court needs.
  4. Confirm the balance, payment method, and whether an appearance or pretrial setting is required.
  5. Keep the court's reply, receipt, form, and any signed order together.

Point's Second-Wednesday Warrant Court Schedule

Point's city home page announced that municipal court meets on the second Wednesday at 10 a.m. beginning February 11, 2026. The Court page lists the clerk and judge contact route. Confirm the next date with the clerk before travel because the notice is a schedule update, not a personal setting notice.

City Hall is listed at 320 N. Locust Street and is open Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Friday closed. Those are City Hall hours, not a guarantee that the court clerk is available at every time.

The Point Municipal Court page gives the court's current public contact route.

Point Warrant Forms Allow Mail, Email, and Walk-In Routes

The Courtesy Plea Sheet says an eligible person may mail or hand-deliver the form and may email it to the clerk. It asks for name as shown on ID, license number, citation number, mailing address, phone, email, plea choice, signature, and date. A payment link may be returned by the clerk.

Check and money order are payable to Point Municipal Court. Card payment uses Paystar and adds a third-party processing fee. Ask whether a missed appearance makes the courtesy route unavailable before sending a plea or money.

Warrants in Point: The Main Types

Point Municipal Court handles city ordinance and state-law matters, including traffic cases. A missed setting or unresolved judgment may lead to a court warrant or capias process. A probable-cause arrest warrant is separate from an unpaid citation. Use the clerk's label for the case in question.

Point Warrant Resolution and Driver-Safety Request

The Point form lists a $144 nonrefundable state and administration fee for its driver-safety-course request, plus a valid Texas license, liability insurance, a certified Type 3A driving record, and completion within 90 days. This is a court option for eligible citations, not a general warrant fee.

If the certificate is not submitted, the form says the charge is not dismissed, the fee is not refunded, and the full fine remains due. The form warns that nonpayment may lead to a warrant and added fees. Ask the clerk whether this option is available in the current case.

The official Point form sets out the requirements and warning.

Point Warrant Records: What They Show

The Point courtesy form shows the citation and plea fields that help the clerk identify a case. A court docket may also carry the offense, setting, warrant issue date, return, judgment, and appeal status. Point does not publish a local warrant-number format or an online sample record.

Point Warrant Questions for Juveniles Need Court Attendance

Point's official courtesy notice says juveniles age 10 through 16 must appear in open court with a parent or guardian, with no exceptions in that notice. This is Point-specific form language and should not be generalized to other city courts or cases.

Before sending a plea form or payment for a young person, call the Point clerk and ask what appearance the court requires. The same form says a not-guilty plea requires a scheduled pretrial and ongoing contact with the court.

Point Warrants and Rains County

Point Municipal Court controls city citations and recall decisions. If an officer serves a court order, county custody questions may go to the Rains County Sheriff, while Texas DPS/OmniBase handles only qualifying FTA/FTP reports. For the complete county court and service route, use the Rains County warrant records overview or the traffic warrant page.

Warrant flow: Point Municipal Court → assigned peace officer → Rains County Sheriff for county custody questions → Texas DPS/OmniBase only for a qualifying reported violation.

Point Payment Is Not Warrant Status Confirmation

The Point form's payment link may process a balance, but it does not state that payment alone recalls a warrant. Ask the clerk whether the judge must approve the resolution, whether a missed date changes form eligibility, and whether the serving agency has received an update.

Keep the emailed form, postmark, receipt, and any clerk reply. The court says a caller on the appearance date should leave a name and phone number for a clerk callback. Use the City Hall contact page for office information, then confirm court status with the clerk.
